Gemzies is a 'serious' new way of social bookmarking. All Gemzies pages are dedicated to a single topic. As such, Gemzies pages 'start' where Wikipedia 'ends': Gemzies pages contain recommended sites, videos, books, photos and (coming soon) documents on a single topic.
Anyone can initiate a dedicated page, on any specific topic, and start bookmarking interested content to it. Others can join, 'vote' content up or down, and help tagging content to improve search. Depending on your contributions, and the votes of our visitors, you will be ranked in a list of 'experts' on your topic.
Bookmarking is a simple process. You can simply bookmark recommended content to Gemzies, while browsing the internet. To do so, use our new 'Start bookmarking' button.
It is a simple button in your browser toolbar that you can click when you are on a site, a video, a photo, or a book that you like. It will easily add this entry to one of your Gemzies pages. You can also decide to 'just' bookmark the entry, and save it in your 'bookmarks' section for later use.
